Why can't I connect to the game?
More Frequently Asked Questions Coming Soon...
- Most likely, the game is under maintenance and has been taken down momentarily. You usually will find more information on the forums about this, as Developers usually announce a server reboot beforehand.
- The game is connected to the InsanityFlyFF website. In the top right corner of the website, you will find the status of the server right next to the time and how many players are online. It will either say "On" or "Off."
- As stated in the rules, the PK server (faction), is a public killing server. People are allowed to kill you and steal your loot as long as it's on the PK server. Reporting someone for killing you on the PK server will be ignored. Either fight back, or find another place to farm!
- Your computer has to process the game in a timely manner, and sometimes you may experience a lag. You can solve this by simply turning down your resolution, brightness, shadow, and etc, in the "Options" portion of the patcher before you start the game.
- In most cases, this is due to your file being corrupted. This means the folder is missing key files to operate efficiently. If you have this problem, uninstall the game, and reinstall. This problem happens usually with people who are coming back from long ago, and forget to update their patcher. If the problem is still evident after reinstalling, make a ticket sending the following information:
- Error_[date].txt (where [date]= the date of the log yyyy/mm/dd). This can be found in your "Logs" folder. Copy and paste this information into a ticket and send it in addition to your problem. IGNORE the following:
- network_[date].txt
- DisconnectLog_[date].txt
- eh_[date].txt
- error_[date].log
- No. Currently, macOS products are not able to establish a secure connection with InsanityFlyFF.exe. This is because the program was originally made on a Windows product. There are ways to bypass this. For instance, CrossOver officially announced a couple days ago, that they finally had moved to a secure macOS High Sierra operating system.
